Nabha Natesh is still making waves in the South Indian film industry with a few promising projects in different languages. Now, she has to work on the fantasy adventure Nagabandham, as it will be released on July 3.
Nabha gave details about her character, the shooting experience of the movie's production, and the visual grandeur of the movie that audiences can expect from the film.
A Character Unlike Anything She Has Done Before
Nabha Natesh's part as Parvati is one of the most important in her career so far.
Parvati is a traditional young woman who is courageous and not afraid to do things, she says. She might seem very simple on the face of things, but her decisions drive several fundamental story turns.
"I have never played a role like this before. Parvati is a woman in a traditional position, but she is also fearless. Many of the major twists in the movie are influenced by her choices. This is absolutely one of the most powerful characters of my career,” Nabha said of the character of Parvati.
And I can tell you, people will feel so emotionally invested in the character and they will really connect with the character and will really appreciate her emotional involvement in the story," she said.
Spiritual Atmosphere on the Film Set
Nabha also recalled her unique experience while filming Nagabandham. A lot of the film's major production achievements were the recreation of a huge set inspired by the famous Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple.
When the actress walked onto the temple, she said, the temple set became a place of dedication and spirituality for all involved in the project.
The crew and cast treated the set very kindly and with respect because of its sacred atmosphere, she said. Before shooting took place each day, prayers and rituals were performed to keep the environment spiritual.
To add authenticity to the experience, the entire film unit reportedly had a vegetarian diet on the temple set during the schedule.
From the moment we walked onto the set, we felt a sense of devotion and positivity, she said. The atmosphere was incredibly special. We respected the sanctity of the place, and daily rituals became part of our routine,” she said.
Grand Devotional Song With 5,000 Dancers
Nagabandham also has a visually stunning devotional song choreographed by the famous dance master Ganesh Acharya as a major attraction.
The song is said to have around 5,000 dancers in it, making it one of the movie’s grandest. The number was made so large so that it would be an unforgettable cinematic experience for everyone.
Nabha says that the song will be amazing to watch and one of the best moments of the movie.
High Expectations for Nagabandham
Nagabandham has created a lot of buzz among movie lovers as it is a mixture of mythology, fantasy, adventure, and large-scale visual effects. The movie is directed by Virat Karna and Abhishek Nama.
