Jr NTR is set to headline a gigantic Pan-India mythological epic titled God of War and the announcement of its initiation date will be made today. The project is his second collaboration with the celebrated director Trivikram Srinivas (after their first successful film).

The movie, known as a mythological biggie, has been in pre-production for almost ten months. While speculation earlier in the film had it that Allu Arjun might head the project, Trivikram went for NTR. Based on Lord Kartikeya's life, the son of Lord Shiva, the film is going to be a visually stunning drama with a lot of VFX and will be highly creative.
The project is being financed by Haarika and Hassine Creations who are known for big-budget projects and the film will have a scale and grandeur to it as our mythological story is the reason of its existence. Music will be composed by Thaman, whose soundtrack has elevated movie experience in recent years.
NTR will be on the set before the end of this year, when he finishes shooting Dragon with director Prashanth Neel. Dragon will be released in June 2027, and God of War is his next big project. The movie makers have teased some big news in the next few months about the cast and technical crew so fans can really get excited about it.
God of War comes at a very busy time for Trivikram Srinivas. The director is working on Venkatesh’s Adarsha Kutumbam, a family entertainer due to be released in October 2026. Once that project is done, Trivikram will turn to the mythological epic with NTR.
God of War is already generating a huge buzz among audiences and industry experts. With NTR’s stature as one of the most popular actors in Indian film industry and Trivikram’s ability to bring mass appeal with good storytelling, expectations are sky high. The mythological atmosphere of this movie is the basis of its appeal and the high-tech VFX is the reason why it is one of the most ambitious Pan India movies in the last few years.
In conclusion, the initiation of God of War marks a significant milestone in Jr NTR’s career and in Indian cinema’s growing appetite for mythological epics. The movie is a modern classic with an old-school story, a visionary director, and a big budget for its production.
