The animated sequel Baahubali: The Eternal War has made India proud as it has been selected as Work-in-Progress at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France, from June 27 through 21st. Directed by Ishan Shukla, it is the story of Baahubali: The Eternal War that is the continuation of the legendary story of Baahubali in an entirely new way in an even more beautiful form as we go to the world stage to celebrate Indian animation and to make the first time that we are able to present the film in the work-in-progress category.

The film tells the story of murdered prince Amarendra Baahubali as he embarks on a 14-world war in 14 different places and starts to fight the battle between order and chaos in the universe forever, a cosmic war. There is great entertainment in the film and deep philosophical undercurrents in the story of Baahubali mythology and the movie will expand the mythological universe of Baahubali and there will be a big promise of the mythical universe of Baahubali. Prabhas will once again be cast to voice his character and will be able to bring his intensity and emotional depth in the animated version with the same intensity and emotional resonance as the animated one.
When Baahubali gets its shot in a fight, there is even more anticipation as the movie is painted in this way: and the final shot is a fight and battle and battle and battle and fighting and battle and the movie is so big in the end.
As an Indian mythology, director Ishan Shukla, the visionary filmmaker, is working with screenwriter Scott Mosier to flesh out a narrative that connects Indian mythology with universal themes and ideas for the story. Arka Mediaworks, the studio behind the original Baahubali films, is producing the film and maintaining a smooth and imaginative vision.
Rajamouli, the Baahubali creator who designed the Baahubali universe, praised the selection at Annecy as a “rare honor for Indian cinema.” He praised the team for pushing boundaries and representing India's storytelling ability in the world on an international level.
Baahubali: The Eternal War is expected to transform the concept of Indian animation and will go to cinema in 2027. The movie will be part of Annecy—a festival for the world’s best animated movies—to the world’s animation audience so it will be an international celebration of India’s growing creative strength in animation.
Baahubali: The Eternal War is a testament to India’s growing cinematic vision as a whole. Combining myth, artistry, and innovation, Baahubali: The Eternal War will be a tale of epic adventure with an epic story that transcends borders and genres and is going to be a magical one. Baahubali: The Eternal War continues to move forward—both in its own way and through animation.
