Rocking Star Yash has brought out the release date of his gangster epic Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown‑Ups, which is going to be released on August 26, 2026. Directed by Geetu Mohandas and co‑written by Yash himself, the film will be a gritty, big-scale story set in the context of Goa’s ruthless drug cartels from the 1940s to the 1970s.

Yash will be playing a dual role of Raya and his son Ticket, adding depth to the narrative. The film has a star‑studded cast of Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth. The cinematographer Rajeev Ravi brings his quality realism to the camera, and the music is composed by Vishal Mishra and Ravi Basrur to ensure a powerful audio-visual experience.
Toxic will be shot in Kannada and English with dubbed versions planned for multiple languages. The release date is also chosen to align with festivals such as Onam, Varamahalakshmi Vrata, and Raksha Bandhan, which will help to increase the audience for that day.
The film has been delayed due to reshoots and international partnerships, but the scope of the project reflects its ambition. Toxic is one of the most expensive Indian movies ever made at a budget of ₹800–850 crore, designed to replicate and surpass the huge success of Yash’s previous film KGF Chapter 2.
Industry insiders believe Toxic could change gangster dramas in Indian cinema by mixing raw storytelling with international production values. Geetu Mohandas’ vision has increased expectations, and Yash’s creative involvement has further buoyed them with the ensemble cast and technical crew.
Finally, Toxic’s release date has caused fans and the film industry to get excited. With its grand scale, powerful performances, and festival‑season timing, Yash’s next project is going to be one of the biggest cinematic events of 2026.
