The sudden death of Ullas (28), son of the producer B. M. Harish, has left the Kannada film fraternity and his family in deep sorrow.

Life, as many say, is like a bubble on water -- fragile and unpredictable. Ullas’s death is a painful reminder of this truth. Although he had got engaged in December and the wedding had already been decided, fate had other plans. He was heartbroken when a heart attack interrupted his journey.

Friends, relatives and colleagues are still processing the loss. Ullas was a young man who had aspirations that he was going to live up to and that was going to be all his life. His untimely death has shattered not only his family’s hopes but also those who thought he was going to carry on the work of his father in the movie industry.

Producer B. M. Harish, well known in Kannada cinema, is now facing an unimaginable pain of losing his son at such a young age. The tragedy has provoked many on social media to say “everything happens for a reason” and “the human desire is never met.”

The incident has also exposed the fragility of life. Ullas’s story -- from engagement celebrations to wedding preparations -- was full of joy and hope. But in a moment, all those dreams were extinguished and only memories and sorrow remained.

If Ullas is dead, his family and society will be in a state of loss; his death was a personal loss for them as well as the world’s. The death of Ullas has left people in such a state of questioning about what dreams are and why in this world we look at life differently, and of the meaning of life in general, in the world of business, the world and the world at large and in the future, everything.
