Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce have officially married after months of speculation and beginning a new chapter in one of the most talked about celebrity romances in the world. The two got married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City in front of family, close friends and a whole lot of A-list musicians, Swift’s publicist said.
The newlyweds had their wedding, a ceremony to fit the two people and that they were strangers. Giant screens outside Madison Square Garden lit up with the message "JUST&T MARRIED", a play on the couple’s initials and the friendship bracelets that have become a symbol of their relationship.
The ceremony was conducted by the actor and comedian Adam Sandler, a close friend of the couple. There were no traditional bridesmaids and groomsmen, but Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, was her “Man of Honor” and Travis’ brother Jason Kelce, former NFL player, who joined him as Best Man, was also present. Swift’s representative said the bride and groom were all in Christian Dior Haute Couture dresses by Jonathan Anderson. Taylor had her wedding shoes and Cartier jewellery customised and that made it an even bigger affair.
The wedding carried big names from music, film, sports and fashion. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love story began in July 2023 when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end attended Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Kansas City. Kelce said on his podcast after the show that he had planned to give the singer a friendship bracelet with his phone number attached but never got the chance because she did not meet fans before or after performances.
Kelce had said, "I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice.” He had wanted to hand her a bracelet with his number on it.
Swift later learned about the story and reached out, leading to the start of their relationship. The couple quietly started dating before making their romance public in September 2023 when Swift went to a Kansas City Chiefs game to cheer Kelce on from the stands. The couple announced their engagement on August 26, 2025, revealing that Kelce had earlier that month proposed in the garden of his Missouri home. They posted the happy news on Instagram and jokingly captioned the post, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” delighting millions of fans worldwide.
