Known for his wonderful comic timing and his capability of effortlessly bouncing between humour and serious roles, Shah also became popular with hit shows like Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. His portrayal of Indravadan Sarabhai in the latter is still one of the most celebrated characters in Indian television history.

At Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Droupadi Murmu awarded Shah’s family members the honor. It was a very emotional moment as it acknowledged the country’s recognition that his work has been a huge part of Indian entertainment. “He has inspired a lot of generations of people,” Shah’s family said.
Satish Shah, apart from acting, had a great respect for humility and generosity.
