Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan will marry his long-standing partner Gauri Spratt on July 5 in his Mumbai residence. Unlike the glittering celebrity weddings in the film industry, the couple did not go for a big wedding but kept it small and intimate with only family members at home and a few friends.
The actor confirmed the wedding at the screening of filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani’s Pritam & Pedro, saying it was a very personal celebration. About 100 to 150 people, family, close friends and a few film fraternity members have been invited to the ceremony at his Bandra home.
The couple will start their day by registering their marriage under the Special Marriage Act and have a traditional ceremony and a private lunch. Aamir and Gauri had planned everything from the guest list to the menu, and family members have been involved in the celebrations.
Aamir said in an interview to media ahead of the wedding: “The wedding is on July 5. It is a very intimate affair and it will be held at home. Family and friends will be there, we will be very special. We are having a little small affair we will be having at home. We are asking everyone to bless us and pray for us—let us be happy and let us go ahead in life very happily.”
A New Beginning After Lessons From the Past

Aamir was first married to Reena Dutta, the mother of Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. After their separation, he married filmmaker Kiran Rao. They welcomed a son, Azad Rao Khan, and announced their separation in 2021. Aamir and Kiran have worked together as a family and professional family and have also been together for the same.
The actor has consistently said Reena and Kiran are still an important part of his life and has said that they have had great support from him in the last years.
His relationship with Gauri Spratt started with a friendship. The two first met nearly 25 years ago but lost touch later on. What was a new friendship turned into a relationship in 2024.
Aamir introduced Gauri publicly on his 60th birthday in 2025 and said he was “fortunate” to have found her. He also said that he felt “at peace” and “complete” in this new phase of life, a declaration that many saw as a sign of his emotional growth after years of self-questioning.
Gauri Spratt is originally from Bengaluru. She works in the fashion, beauty and wellness sector and is now based in Mumbai. She is also a mother of a young son. The couple’s relationship has been kept away from public view in favor of privacy (not publicity).
Some friends from the film industry (including directors Ashutosh Gowariker and Rajkumar Santoshi) will be among the wedding guests. The couple's menu has also been curated and will include many of their favourite dishes.
As Aamir Khan prepares to begin married life for the third time, his new relationship is more meaningful from a different angle of companionship, understanding, and shared happiness.
