Cocktail 2 has taken the box office by storm, racing towards the ₹100 crore mark in just four days since its release. Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna star in the romantic comedy, which features humor, emotion, and star power. Homi Adajania’s spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit Cocktail is a new generation version, which rekindles the themes of modern relationships and love triangles.

The film opened strongly on June 19 and earned ₹13.50 crore net in India on the first day. The film’s numbers improved over the weekend with ₹16.25 crore on Saturday and ₹17.75 crore on Sunday being the highest on a single day. Monday had an expected drop net of ₹6.35 crore, but the film kept going.

Cocktail 2 has now collected ₹53.85 crore net in India and ₹64.56 crore gross. Overseas markets have contributed between ₹20.75 and ₹28.28 crore to the global total of ₹85.31–95.6 crore. The film can achieve the ₹100 crore mark by its fifth day, industry analysts say, and will become one of the first to achieve it.

The success of Cocktail 2 has a huge impact on its stars as well. Shahid Kapoor has already surpassed Haider (₹91.7 crore) to become his seventh highest-grossing film worldwide. Kriti Sanon is also seeing a boost with Cocktail 2, which has overtaken Bhediya to become her ninth highest-grossing release. Rashmika Mandanna’s presence is also very inviting to younger audiences, expanding the movie’s reach.

Audience response has been overwhelmingly positive, with word-of-mouth leading to strong numbers despite the weekday drop-off. The film’s rich and humanized storytelling, glamorous visuals, and catchy music have resonated widely, reviving the romantic comedy genre in Bollywood.

Cocktail 2 has some competition from Akshay Kumar’s Welcome to the Jungle on June 26 and Alia Bhatt’s Alpha on July 3. These movies will test its box office stamina, but with such a strong opening and loyal fan base, Cocktail 2 is well-positioned to hold its ground.

In just four days, the film has proven itself a major commercial success, underlining the power of star-driven romantic comedies in today’s cinematic landscape. As it nears the ₹100 crore mark, Cocktail 2 cements its place as one of the biggest Bollywood hits of 2026.
