Cocktail 2 (Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna) is a romantic comedy with the box office booming and is now near ₹90 crore and is one of the big hits of 2026.
Cocktail 2 was released on June 19 and opened strong with ₹14.10 crore on its first day and ₹17.15 crore on Saturday and ₹18.85 crore on Sunday and it received a strong ₹50.10 crore weekend. The momentum carried on through the weekdays with Monday's collection at ₹8.10 crore and Tuesday bringing in ₹7.50 crore. The film had reached ₹75 crore by the end of the second week and strong performances in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru.
Trade analysts say the nostalgic feel of the movie and Shahid Kapoor’s charismatic performance has appealed to audiences. Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna’s chemistry brings newness to the sequel and Pritam’s music and the scenic images of Sicily have also added to the film’s appeal. The film has received mixed reviews from critics but a heart-warming story and enjoyable tone have kept people in multiplexes.
Cocktail 2 has reached ₹88 crore in India as of July 1 and overseas markets have greatly increased its total worldwide gross. The film’s strong performance abroad particularly in the UK, US and Middle East has helped to get it to ₹100 crore.
It will easily cross ₹90 crore in the next few days and well exceed the lifetime earnings of the original Cocktail (2012), which were at ₹74.48 crore.
