Now that The Big Bang Theory has a new reason to celebrate, the long-running sitcom universe will be coming back to us with its new spin-off, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. The new show will also center around Stuart Bloom, the quirky comic book store owner who was also a fan favourite in the original show's 12-season run.
Following the success of Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, this is the first direct sequel in the present-day Big Bang Theory universe. It will bring back science fiction, comedy, and multiverse chaos, along with a few of the franchise’s familiar faces.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is set to premiere on July 23, 2026, on HBO Max. Season 1 will consist of 10 episodes, and new episodes will be added weekly every Thursday.

Plot

They travel through alternate realities, meeting characters from the past, all those people that they know and have been following for years. It’s a science fiction adventure with a little bit of humour that made Stuart one of the most memorable characters in the original sitcom.
