Ajay Devgn’s much-awaited comedy Dhamaal 4 has received a certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), but its dialogues were tweaked. The censor board asked the makers to amend seven words or expressions they deemed obscene or inappropriate before giving this movie a theatrical approval, according to sources.

The last development has fans eager to see when the next chapter of one of Bollywood’s biggest comedy franchises will open.
CBFC Suggests Dialogue Modifications
As part of the certification process, CBFC instructed the filmmakers to tone down some dialogues by replacing seven objectionable words with milder alternatives. Most of the changes were in terms of slang and expressions that the board considered inappropriate for a wider audience.
Importantly, we have no reports of scene deletions or major story edits. The changes requested are only said to be dialogue changes to make the film acceptable for public display.
Such revisions are common during the CBFC certification process, particularly for commercial entertainers targeting family audiences.
A Family Comedy Franchise
The Dhamaal series has been entertaining audiences for nearly two decades with its unique combination of slapstick comedy, chaotic adventures, and ensemble performances.
Following the success of Dhamaal (2007), Double Dhamaal (2011), and Total Dhamaal (2019), the fourth part will continue the franchise’s tradition of light-hearted entertainment from the series.
Due to the popularity of the series with viewers of all ages, they will hope that the film is suitable for family audiences.
Star-Studded Cast
Dhamaal 4 stars Ajay Devgn in a leading role, and a whole gang of old friends from the franchise are present. Indra Kumar will be leading the film, and Dhamaal 4 will keep the humour, misunderstandings, and adventure-driven storytelling at its heart, and that's how Dhamaal has become so synonymous with its brand.
If the makers have kept some plot details of the movie under wraps, fans can expect more comedy, confusion and larger-than-life situations but also to get another all-around entertaining experience with comedy, confusion and larger-than-life situations.
Censorship is a routine process
The CBFC regularly reviews films before theatrical release to ensure they meet certification guidelines. In many cases, filmmakers will simply make minor changes in dialogue or word substitutions, and all will be fine.
The changes in Dhamaal 4 are in this category, and there is no evidence that the film's storyline, comedy, or entertainment value has changed much.
Fans Await Release
The certification is the beginning of the theatrical release of the film; it’s already coming close to the cinema audience. And fans of the franchise will enjoy seeing Ajay Devgn and the cast back with more comedy and adventure.
Dhamaal 4 will continue the promotional campaign in advance of release, and with the censor process completed after some minor dialogues have been edited. In its own right, it is eagerly awaited with so much hype as the success of its predecessors and the history of the franchise.
Whether Dhamaal 4 will live up to the box office history of the previous movies is yet to be seen, but the CBFC clearance has certainly added to the buzz of one of Bollywood’s most eagerly awaited comedy movies.
